This Week at Jubilee- 3/22/2017

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Sunday we gathered to worship our God.

  • Duane shared a sermon about Living Water from John 4.
  • Renee Nuefeld, from the Jackson, MS Service Adventure Unit, shared about changes in that ministry since the death of Hannah Hochstetler.
  • And, way to go Jubilee on a stunning pot luck you shared with the service group from Iowa.

Monday was an exciting day at Jubilee as 14 volunteers from Iowa joined several of us from Jubilee and the community to freshen the landscape and bag groceries.

Every Tuesday Jubilee shares Snack Bags with neighbors from 10-12.  Sandra Rush can give you more info about this ministry.

Mom’s Group meets in the gym on tuesdays at 9:00am. Contact Beth Graybill for more info.

Wednesday – We will gather in the gym for Bible Study at 6:00pm.  Thanks to Holly Garrett, we will eat lasagna.  The Service Team from Iowa Mennonite School will join us the meal and for classes that begin at 7:00.

Thursday – The most recent grocery delivery arrives at 12:00 (or whenever the truck decides to appear.)  If you would like to join the Gorrows to unload the truck, talk to Wayne.

  • Your Elders, Pastors and Staff meet for the monthly Elder Mtg at 6:30.  Duane can tell you more about what happens on these evenings.

Friday – Jubilee men meet for Prayer Breakfast at 6:15am at Queen City Truck Stop.  Talk to Pastor Duane for details.

Saturday – The Junior Youth Group will enjoy Service and San Marcos.  Please meet at the church gym at 4:00pm.  Parents can meet their Jr. Youth at San Marcos at 7:00pm.  Come ready to work and bring money for food.  Contact Jeff Landis, Suzanne Opel or Amy or Stephen Yoder for more info.

Sunday – Join us for Sunday School at 9:30am and Jubilee’s worship celebration at 10:45am.

  • Stephen Yoder will lead singing
  • I will share a message from John 9 – Restore us, O God! We See.

God bless you as you serve and love in the name of Christ this week.

Peace,
Elaine
