This Week at Jubilee...
Jubilee welcomes our sister church, 8th Street Mennonite from Goshen, Indiana! Friends from 8th Street will serve at Jubilee and in the community this week. In honor of their visit, there will be a pot luck meal in the gym following the service. Everyone is invited! Questions, see Anita Wansley, Ministry Coordinator.
Everyone is invited to come forward for a blessing during our celebration of the Lord's Supper. All baptized believers are invited to share the cup and the bread. Crackers and grapes are provided for those anticipating their baptism. Questions? Talk to Duane or Elaine Maust.
At the end of the worship service on January 17, the congregation will be asked to vote on a proposed amendment to the Jubilee Church Constitution which would change the quorum requirement at congregational meetings from 50 percent of members to a minimum of 12 members. For details, see the bulletin insert and please see Mike Clymer, congregational chair, if you have further questions.
On January 17, Jubilee celebrates 30 years as a congregation and 16 years in this building. On that day we will share memories of God's faithfulness in a special service. More information will be coming. Please invite your friends, former members, and others who may have moved away. If you have ideas for this day, talk to Anita Wansley or Duane or Elaine Maust.
Please take the bulletin insert with you and listen for God's direction. We want to hear from you. Please note your responses on the back of the insert and drop them in the box on the table in the hall, or talk to anyone on the pastor/elder team.
Local and possibly conference service projects are being planned for the week of Spring Break (March 15-19). More information will be made available in the coming weeks. If you have questions about this, see Anita Wansley.
Electronic giving is an option for those donating regularly to Jubilee. Funds can be automatically transferred from your checking account to the church's bank account weekly or monthly. To explore this convenient option, talk to Cheryl Landis.
Donation receipts are in church mailboxes for all Jubilee attendees who made regular contributions in 2009. If you have any questions, talk to Cheryl Landis.
Offering for 1/3/10: $1,801 (budgeted $1,787.50). Year-to-date: $49,501 (budgeted $41,112.50).
Happy Birthday to Brian Thompson (today), Duane Maust (Jan 11), and Jodi Schiedel (Jan 14)!
