There will be a potluck meal in the gym following the service today.  Everyone is welcome to come and join this time of fellowship!

<p>The annual Pine Lake Camp Benefit Sale will be held in Des Allemands, LA, on Saturday, October 6.  There are several ways you can help with this to raise money for camp:  purchase items, make items and donate them to be sold, or participate in the services for sale, explained on the camp bulletin board in the hall.  Contact Lisa Shelly for further explanation or more ideas.

<p>It's time to clean out your closets!  The Youth Yard Sale is coming up in October!  All proceeds will help to sponsor the Youth Group's trip to the 2009 Mennonite Youth Convention in Ohio.  Questions, see Cheryl Landis or Christine Maust Beachy. 

<p>The annual meeting for the MDS Mississippi / Louisiana Unit will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at Jubilee.  There will be coffee and doughnuts, after which the meeting will begin at 9:30 and dismiss by 11:30, followed by a noon meal.  Everyone is invited (and encouraged) to attend!  If you plan to attend, please let Dewayne Garrett know in advance.  If  you have further questions, see Dewayne.  We hope to see you there!

<p>The annual MDS Region II Gathering will be held on October 27th in Burr Oak, MI at the New Covenant Christian Fellowship.  In an effort to stimulate growth and interest in MDS, some funds have been allocated to cover travel (and lodging if needed) for a few folks in our MS/LA Unit to attend.  If you’re interested, please see Dewayne Garrett on or before October 1.
